Punga Cove Resort offers a range of accommodation options with 16 tastefully furnished chalets nestled into the bush-clad hillside, with sun decks giving privacy and superb views across the bay to suit all budgets. From our hostel which is open in the summer months, to the Lodge and the Chalets which include studios and self-contained family chalets to our stylish apartments.
There is a wide range of activities to choose from, explore the turquoise waters in our sea kayaks or visit nearby islands and cruise the sounds in search of playful Dusky Dolphins. Experience the leafy wonders of the Queen Charlotte Track, catch fish in the bay. Join a cruise and explore the sounds or take a gourmet picnic lunch and a bottle champagne to a secluded beach nearby, or just relax at the resorts swimming pool and outdoor spa pool.
Enhance your holiday’s relaxation with a meal in our fully licensed restaurant situated to give breathtaking views of the entire Endeavour Inlet or take time out at the Boatshed Cafe & Bar on the Jetty. Enjoying coffee whilst watching birdlife, fish swimming by and the private and charter boats which come and go.

Basecamp
Ideal for the budget traveller. Comfortable, sunny accommodation with eight rooms. 7 rooms sleep one person in single bed & 1 double room, share bathroom and kitchen/living. All rooms open onto a deck. Good views from living area deck. Closed in Winter.
Bell Bird Apartment
Family style apartment with fabulous views over the cove
Two bedrooms, one with queen bed, one with twin single beds. There is a double bed settee and single bed in the large living area. Television and CD player. Bathroom with shower. Kitchen with fridge, microwave, cooking hobs, toaster and tea/coffee facilities. Sundeck with fabulous views.
Tui Chalets
A-frame style chalets nestled in the bush with private balconies.
We have five Tui Chalets. Three Tui Chalets have queen beds and two have a queen & a single bed. Each with an ensuite bathroom, small fridge, tea/coffee making facilities and radio.

Kiwi Chalets

We have two spacious studio Kiwi Chalets, with queen beds, ensuite bathrooms, and kitchen areas with fridge, microwave, toaster, tea & coffee facilities, radio and CD player. Sundeck with sea views.

Stylish chalet with two bedrooms, one with king bed and one with two singles. Separate bathroom. Open plan living/dining/kitchen area with fridge, microwave, toaster, tea/coffee facilities, radio, CD player, large covered sundeck with views of the sea.
Weka & Kingfisher Chalet
One bedroom chalets with lounge and deck with cove views.
We have two Weka and two Kingfisher Chalets, with king beds (two have split king beds), ensuite bathrooms and living room. Kitchen areas with fridge, microwave, toaster, tea & coffee facilities, television, radio and CD player. Sundeck with sea view
Punga Fern Restaurant & Bar
Our fine dining restaurant offers à la carte dining with international flair. “The art of living begins at the table.” Here we take our time. Our dishes are refined with Marlborough’s finest produce, wild game and seafood plus a little spice and flavour. This is the cuisine of patience and passion. In our cellar, we stock over 140 of Marlborough’s best wines to complement your dining experience. We also have a wide selection of non-alcoholic beverages as well as beers, spirits, and cocktails. The restaurant seats forty people internally and additional seating is available outside, weather permitting, on our three elevated decks that surround the restaurant. We are open every day for breakfast and dinner.
The historic Boatshed where many well known boats have been built is now a unique establishment, set right over the water with a large jetty area & outdoor seating. Full range of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks; espresso coffee and homemade muffins, cakes, paninis and pies. We also have fish and chips, platters, and pizzas on our lunch meneu, plus BBQs in the early evening. During the autumn/winter months, the Boatshed is open through the day for coffee, drinks, snacks and lunch. Evening meals are available in the Restaurant.
